Sub 70 699 v2 Single Length Irons - Consistent Ball Striking

The 699 v2 SL combines the power and playability of our new 699 v2 heads with the consistency of single length irons. With all of the irons in the set cut to 7-iron length, players can find a new level of stability and dependability in their game. The heads in the 699 v2 SL are specifically weighted to produce the same feel across the set, allowing the player to utilize the same stance and swing with all irons, and thus, a repeatable motion with predictable results.

Single Length Design: With all of the irons in the set cut to 7-iron length, players can find a new level of stability and dependability in their game. The heads in the 699 v2 SL are specifically weighted to produce the same feel across the set, allowing the player to utilize the same stance and swing with all irons, and thus, a repeatable motion with predictable results.

VFT Face Technology: The redesigned 699 retains the successful 2-piece, TPE resin-injected, hollow body design in 431 stainless steel. The game-changing addition is the reactive 1.7 millimeter thin VFT (Variable Face Thickness) face, composed of S-450 aerospace steel. This not only delivers improved distance but ensures more consistent distances across the entire face. Even imperfect strikes on the toe or heel result in minimized distance loss, translating to more greens hit.

Enhanced Forgiveness: The new model is a true game changer in terms of forgiveness. The expanded channel back design elevates forgiveness on off-center strikes. Two reinforcing ribs within the head reduce body deformation at impact, maximizing energy transfer and boosting ball speeds even on off-center hits.

Improved Playability: The 699 v2 SL iron showcases enhancements in playability, including a squared leading edge grind for easier alignment at address and a sleeker top line. The sole now features a 4-way camber, enabling a perfect setup at address and delivering superior situational playability. The sole allows for workability in any direction, high or low, right or left. Shorter, constant-length hosels lead to improved CG (Center of Gravity) positioning, and new offset progressions promote better Dynamic Alignment Properties for predictable directional performance.
