The iron features VFT Face Technology with a 1.7 millimeter thin Variable Face Thickness face made of S-450 aerospace steel, which enhances distance and consistency across the face, reducing distance loss on off-center hits. Its redesigned channel back and reinforcing ribs maximize forgiveness by reducing body deformation and increasing ball speeds, even on off-center strikes. Playability is further improved with a squared leading edge grind for easier alignment, a 4-way camber sole for situational versatility, shorter hosels for better CG positioning, and new offset progressions for precise directional control.

VFT Face Technology: The redesigned 699 retains the successful 2-piece, TPE resin-injected, hollow body design in 431 stainless steel. The game-changing addition is the reactive 1.7 millimeter thin VFT (Variable Face Thickness) face, composed of S-450 aerospace steel.
